PARENTING cartoons—For the next 18+ years, Mom and Dad serve as gatekeepers of law, love, and order. Without them, it would be 'familia armageddon!' Some days, we win, other times, we may lose, but we all show up each day ready to get it on.
MOMS are incredibly important, and their impact is hard to overstate. They’re the backbone of families, providing emotional support, nurturing, and stability that shape kids into functional adults. While I believe the love of dads and moms is critical and equally important in good parenting, I also know in my heart that MOMS are gifted and connect with their kids in ways that a father never can. I am not jealous of this, but I am in awe and thankful for it.

Parenting often becomes a tag-team event, and it will often take a mom and dad to defeat… well, um… corral a positive resolution. This is especially true once those little darlings become teenagers. Teenagers often seek independence, but it is best to dole this out in manageable doses. Parenting teens is a wild ride—equal parts art, grit, and guesswork…. and oh yes remember to PRAY.
I think of Abraham and Isaac on their unusual camping trip and then Isaac and the blessings of the firstborn given to the wrong son. How about Joseph and Mary when they left their son Jesus, the future savior of the world, behind at the Temple? And how about the father of the Prodigal son?
