IMPORTANT NOTE:
Despite the fact that none of them are perfect, .. all of my family
loves the Lord, and I could not be more proud of them.

I have been drawing cartoons for all my life. I remember when I was little, I would play this
drawing game with my dad. We would take turns drawing lines on the same piece of paper until our drawing was complete. Now, I am like that cute little kid who draws pictures for their mommy or daddy, and says.. "Lookie Mommy, I drew you this pretty picture." Of course I am 48 years old (not so cute), and so when I try to show my wife my cartoons, she says something like.. "Oh, I that's nice dear!" So as you can imagine, she is very happy that some of you take time to look at my cartoons.. so that she does not have to.

I still love to draw cartoons, and I pray that God can uses my cartoons to give others a smile, or laugh, and maybe now and then.. make a point.

MY DAD.. THE MAN I LOVE AND RESPECT!!

Walter Larson, my dad, born May 16, 1923 is an amazing man!!

My dad is now 78 years old, and suffers from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). ALS has taken his ability to speak, to eat (except through a feeding tube), he has lost 40-50 lbs. this last year, and ALS is killing him. BUT, BUT.. He is the man I respect so much.

His mom died when he was 6, his dad placed him and his brothers and sisters in a children's home, and never took responsibility for them. My dad served in WWII in the Navy. After the war, he attempted suicide because of his unhappiness, the Lord protected him, and he became saved. He then met my mom, and had a true family, and experienced happiness and family for the first time.

He is a wonderful man, and to me is a model of what God tells us to be as Christians. He is not an upfront kind of guy, but his Christianity is obvious by the way he lives his life. I believe if my dad was in the parable of the talents. They would have told him to go find a talent before he could start. What I mean to say is .. My dad, who never had modeled before him how to be a husband, or father, or friend.. succeeded at all these facets of life. I hope someday this can be said of me, and I have had each of these modeled before me by my dad.

Someday soon.. I believe the Lord will say to my dad.. "Well done, my good and faithful servant. You clothed me when I was naked, you fed me when I was hungry!"... because my dad did so much with the cards he was dealt.
* To those of you conservative Christians, excuse my poker analogy*

At Christmas this year, we decided as a family to each share our favorite Christmas memories. We each shared special Christmas memories, of toys, or family get togethers.. Well the following letter is what my dad shared..

Click here to see my dad's Christmas memory.

Thank you for taking time to read this tribute to my dad. When you think of us, please pray for my mom & dad, and for God's blessing and peace during this difficult time.

Thanks for visiting my cartoon website.May God bless each of his children greatly beyond what we can
imagine as we serve Him.
