With Palm Sunday being so significant.. I frequently return to tooning DONKEYS for a source of humor. Very EE-ORE (misspelled) in their appearance, and almost as much fun to laugh at
as the religious leaders of Jesus day.

So anyways.. if you have seen the Movie ‘On the Waterfront’ starring Marlin Brando from 1954,
there is the famous part of the movie where Brando vents about a life of regret, and what could
have been. "I COULD HAVE BEEN SOMEBODY, I COULD HAVE BEEN A CONTENDER!..
INSTEAD OF A BUM!" Well this is the world of Marlin the Donkey, and a life of regret recreated
in the toon titled ON THE STABLEFRONT.

Donkeys are relatively slow moving beasts of burden not to be confused with Arabian Stallions, or entered into the Kentucky Derby. And on top of their appearance they make sounds that are like a goose with bronchitis. I know people that LAUGH LIKE DONKEYS. Not cool!

Besides Palm Sunday Donkeys have been bit players through out our Bibles.. They were
there at the birth of Jesus. And in the Old Testament..

and.. WAY BEFORE MR. ED.. they were in the original LOOK WHO’S TALKING.

I am sure there are more donkey moments of the Bible and I will be sure to add them as they come to me.
